How to use
Letrozole is only prescribed by the treating physician. Therapy with Letrozol should take place under the supervision of a doctor. Dosage and duration of therapy are determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on the nature and severity of the disease.
Typically, daily administration of letrozole 2.5 mg per day is recommended in adjuvant therapy regimens. In this case, adjuvant therapy and extended adjuvant therapy can last up to 5 years (or until relapse).
After standard tamoxifen therapy, patients should be monitored by their physician and continue letrozole therapy for 4 years (or until disease recurrence).
In patients with metastatic disease, letrozole therapy should be continued until there are signs of disease progression.
During the use of Letrozole in pre-operative preparation, the physician should continuously monitor the patient’s condition.
In elderly patients and those with moderate to mild hepatic impairment, it is not necessary to change the dose of letrozole.
Given the risk of developing osteoporosis during treatment with letrozole, it is necessary to monitor bone status in patients receiving treatment.
